Jazz Education in Chicago: How Are We Doing?A panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges related to jazz education and its relationship to the professional jazz scene, particularly in Chicago. How did the pandemic affect jazz education in the schools? What can be done to address the deficit of instrumental music instruction in elementary and middle schools? What does it all mean for high schools and colleges? What is the role of music education partnering organizations in the space? The panel will give their thoughts on these issues and engage in Q and A with the audience.
