NextGenJazz 2015: Juan Pastor’s Chinchano

April 02 - 16, 2015 - 12:00 am - 6:30 pm

The Drake Hotel Chicago, Palm Court | 140 E. Walton

April 2, 9 & 16 – Juan Pastor’s Chinchano

Juan Pastor’s Chinchano blends traditional Peruvian music with jazz, creating a new sound that fuses history and culture.  With a rhythmically creative, yet mellow sound created by the cajon (a traditional Peruvian instrument replacing the drums), Chinchano explores rhythms from the coast and mountains of Peru.
