About Larry Brown Jr.

Guitarist, composer, and singer, Larry Brown, Jr is progressively paving his way as a “musical stalwart” in the Chicago music scene. Coming off the success of his 2011 release, There Can Only Be One, Brown’s sophomore album, The Music & This Moment, promises a “soulful, futuristic approach to jazz that busts genres and represents good music and jazz in this moment.” As a performer, Brown has toured all over the United States and abroad, including dates at the Kennedy Center, the St. Louis Jazz Festival, the Clark Terry UNH Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Coca-Cola Club, and the Lima Jazz Festival in Peru. He has performed with such greats as Hamiet Bluiett, Louis Bellson, Allyssa Jones, Lew Soloff, Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, and R&B songstress Yashi.

Larry Brown Jr’s listeners have described him as “simply magnificent” and a “rare talent,” and his music speaks wonders for his powerful mission and outlook on life.
