Noteworthy Jazz Ensemble and Teacher’s Advisory Council

  • Noteworthy Jazz Ensemble

A unique ensemble comprised of Chicago Public School music teachers, Noteworthy serves as a platform for jazz advocacy in public schools and allows music teachers to “practice what they teach.” The ensemble has been featured at the Illinois Music Educators Association conference and has performed for enthusiastic crowds at Millennium Park, South Shore Cultural Center, and Buddy Guy’s Legends.

  • Teacher’s Advisory Council

The Jazz Links Teacher’s Advisory Council is a partnership with Chicago Public School teachers that develops programs that serve young jazz students and teachers city-wide. It also functions as a professional network that advocates for more jazz in Chicago Public Schools.
