JazzCity's third annual Young Lions concert brings together the best upcoming talent in the Chicago scene. Jazz In Chicago talks to 24 year old bass player Junius Paul about the Chicago jazz scene his place in it and his views on the obstacles, influences and hip-hop.
Junius joins saxophonists Kevin Nabors and Jarrard Harris, trumpeter Marquis Hill, pianist Miguel de la Cerna, and drummer Kobie Watkins to present their original music and showcase the bright future of the next generation of Jazz in Chicago on Friday, May 11, 7:30 pm at Tuley Park in Chicago.
