Dee Alexander

Vocalist Dee Alexander is one of Chicago's hidden treasures. Known as a "musician"s musician” she's capable of tuning her instrument in myriad ways. Her tribute to Light Henry Huff is comprised of songs the Chicago saxophonist had written for her before he passed away several years ago. In addition to being a creative musician and composer, Huff was a one-man spiritual center and shamanistic healer who practiced traditional medicine from a variety of cultures. Alexander will be accompanied by cellist Tomeka Reid, violinist James Sanders, harpist Rashida Black and drummer Ernie Adams.
