World Folk Music Company is now known as World
Music Company.  Have we abandon Folk Music?  Heck no.  We just
changed the name to coincide with our new status as a not-for-profit corporation.  Folk music will remain a big part of our lives as
will World Music, Blues, Jazz, Rock and any of the other forms of music the
great musicians who walk through our doors come up with.  We started as a
small storefront on 99th and Wood Street when John and Julia Devens thought it would be a good
thing to put an eclectic little music shop in the neighborhood.  It has
grown over the years to over 500 students and 26 teachers, a wonderful concert
hall and many great children's music programs.  We would love you to be a
part our our family.  Please call us for lessons, classes or tickets to
our award winning concert series.
